Opportunity Information: Apply for APS 2025 01

The U.S. Mission to the United Arab Emirates is accepting proposals for programs taking place in 2025 under its Annual Program Statement. Funding is available for initiatives in three key areas:

1. Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of American Independence (to be marked in 2026): Proposals should plan public events across all seven emirates to highlight American innovation, culture, and the strength of U.S.-UAE ties. Activities may include performances, exhibitions, workshops, speaker series, and conferences, with a focus on technology (AI, space, cybersecurity), commercial engagement, and regional security.

2. Expanding U.S.-UAE Space Collaboration: This focus area supports science and innovation through collaborative space-themed programs. Eligible activities include space camps (in the U.S. or UAE), virtual hackathons, workshops, joint research projects, and public-private partnerships. Target audiences are university students and young professionals.

3. Boosting Trade and Entrepreneurship via Alumni of U.S. Government-Funded Programs: This area targets alumni of initiatives like the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) and INJAZ UAE to strengthen their access to U.S. markets. Proposed programs may include mentorship opportunities, networking events, pitch competitions, business summits, and other exchanges with American entrepreneurs.

All proposals must include a clear American component—such as U.S. culture, innovation, or academic collaboration—and aim to build enduring people-to-people ties between the U.S. and UAE.

Eligible applicants include U.S. and UAE-based nonprofit organizations, think tanks, civil society organizations, and public or private educational institutions. Each organization may submit only one proposal per program area. Multiple submissions in the same area will result in disqualification.

Budgets must cover relevant expenses and include strong monitoring and evaluation plans.
